About this Event
Join us for an early morning outing at the peak of migration season for a slow-moving bird stroll on a mostly flat terrain. Depending how much we walk, expect a slow ambling walk of about 1-1.5 miles. Amherst State Park boasts a number of flowering trees, so we can expect to see plenty of migrating birds including orioles, warblers and others.
Depending on the rainfall, it can be boggy at times so boots or other appropriate footwear recommended. We will depart promptly on time and return to the parking lot by 8 am so anyone who needs to get on with their day may do so. There are no restrooms available. Family friendly, easy walking but there is a small steep hill at the trailhead which may not be accessible to those who need assistance ambulating.
