On Saturday, April 11, 2026 from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m., you are invited to join the Gorgas House Museum for our fifth annual Slow Art Day event! Slow Art Day is a global movement that centers around engaging with art at a slower, more intentional pace.This year, we encourage guests to view the house itself as a piece of art - one that has been at the center of The University of Alabama since the beginning! Participants will be able to reflect on the memories they have of the Gorgas House or spend time creating new ones. Guests can express their memories of the house through art by painting, drawing, coloring, or writing with provided supplies. No experience needed! Come sit and enjoy time at the most historic building at The University of Alabama.
Admission is free for this event and all supplies are included.
Parking on Saturdays is free in University of Alabama spaces.
