The average museum visitor spends only a few seconds looking at a work of art. What happens when you slow down, take a deep breath, and linger? The global celebration of Slow Art Day is your invitation to see for yourself. The Currier will celebrate Slow Art Day by encouraging visitors to slow down, look closely, and spend time with fine art. Join guide-facilitated slow looking sessions at 11 AM and 1 PM centered around three recently-installed works.
There's also mindful artmaking in the Creative Studio and a self-guided activity for those who prefer to go slow at their own pace.
Slow Art Day is on Second Saturday. New Hampshire residents benefit from free museum admission thanks to generous support from St. Mary's Bank and Pamela Diamantis and Morey Goodman.
