About this Event
Did you know that, on average, people spend only 8 seconds looking at a single piece of art? With so many intriuging works in a museum, it’s easy to rush from one to the next without truly seeing them.
Join us for Slow Art Day at the de Young Museum, where we’ll take a different approach. Together, we’ll spend one hour looking at just five carefully selected pieces—allowing time to observe, reflect, and engage deeply. Afterward, we’ll gather for lunch at the museum café to share our insights and discuss our experiences.
This is a chance to slow down, connect with art in a meaningful way, and enjoy a thoughtful conversation with fellow participants.
You'll pay for your own admission to the museum and lunch. For details about museum entrance fees, check out their website.
