About this event

Learn the tools, terminology and techniques behind a good majority of modern and classic cocktails, and get tips for creating your home bar.

Taught by some of San Francisco's most well-known bartenders, from one of its most famous cocktail bars.

2-3 hrs – This class teaches the fundamentals of home bartending, the necessary tools and cocktail construction, all through the building of four fundamental cocktails that most people misunderstand. By rediscovering these drinks and the ways they can be made you will come to understand not only how you really like your cocktails to be made, but how to order them so that you always get them that way, and more importantly, how to make them (and many more) for your friends and guests while entertaining. You will leave with a new perspective and a new set of skills that you can build upon in future classes.

What to expect:

  • Each person gets to use a complete set of bar tools to make 4 full size cocktails that they are welcome to consume
  • In addition, you may purchase a brand new set of clean bar tools to take home, or you can pre-purchase a set here with your ticket.
  • Each cocktail is representative of a key formula found throughout the lexicon of cocktails. You'll be making and learning about the following:
  1. The Highball - Moscow Mule
  2. The Cocktail - Manhattan
  3. The Sour - Tommy's Margarita
  4. The Collins - Mojito

Taught by one of the talented ELIXIR bartenders, or one of San Francisco's other top bartenders who work with our renowned Cocktail Events and Beverage Catering business, Elixir To Go.

"We learned more than just how to mix some popular cocktails, we got to learn about the history from a passionate, detailed instructor. All of us left with plans for stocking our liquor cabinets and a new appreciation for bartenders." - A. Moore on Google Reviews
