LET’S DO AMBURYFarm animals, gravel, an almost guaranteed tailwind (after an almost guaranteed headwind), and conveniently - a pub with great pizza halfway. All reasons we are returning to Ambury Farm!
THE ROUTE I About 48km / 350m
From Kingsland we’ll roll the cyclepath all the way to Mangere before a quick (SLO) rip along the road to Ambury. Gravel ensues. Bike path back to Epic (or Turtle), home via Cornwall Park and Mt Eden.
THE PACE I We cruise on Sundays.
THE PEOPLE I At least half-decent.
THE RIGS I You’ll want 35c’s minimum for the gravel, or less at your own risk.
10am at Atomic for coffee. On the bikes at 10:30am. Back in Kingsland maybe 2:30pm.
