New in 2026, EarthFest will feature an expanded EV Showcase – Ride & Drive, offering hands-on opportunities to explore electric vehicles and clean transportation resources. The festival will also spotlight the Community Garden Project, a youth-led initiative advancing food security, environmental education, and neighborhood resilience through shared garden spaces.
2026 marks the second year that San Luis Obispo County’s Earth Day celebration is led by the SLO Climate Coalition and the EarthFest Advisory Committee, a collaborative group of nonprofits, student organizations, and local partners. Together, this shared leadership leverages countywide expertise to deliver a larger, more engaging, and more impactful EarthFest each year.
