Get ready to stretch, mix, and experiment with chemistry!
Slime Chemistry Lab is a fun hands-on STEM workshop for students ages 6–12 and part of the CHEMISTRY ENGINEERING WEEK at the Washington Heights STEM Center. Students will explore exciting chemical reactions while creating different types of slime and learning how materials change through mixing, experimenting, and creative design.
Throughout the workshop, participants will discover basic concepts connected to chemistry, polymers, and materials science while developing creativity, problem-solving, and teamwork skills in a safe and engaging environment. This interactive lab encourages curiosity and hands-on learning through colorful experiments and fun STEM activities.
All workshops are completely free. The only requirement for participation is submitting a Washington Heights STEM Center Member Card using the following link:
