Slice Of Hope Pie Auction benefiting Independence Gardens

Sunnyland Outdoor Living in Frisco is hosting the first-ever Slice of Hope Pie Auction — a fun, community-focused event combining homemade desserts, friendly competition, and heartwarming generosity!
Local chefs, bakers, and neighbors will donate their favorite pies to be auctioned off by Amy Vanderoef, beloved television host known for her engaging, down-to-earth energy.
Why it matters:
All proceeds benefit Independence Gardens, a North Texas nonprofit empowering children to make healthy food choices through hands-on gardening, nutrition education, and culinary experiences. Programs like Girls Save the World teach kids where food comes from, how to grow it, and how it connects to their health and community. Funds raised will help expand outdoor learning spaces, provide fresh, nutritious food experiences, and fight childhood obesity and food insecurity.
