About this Event
We live in an age of technological dysphoria, a far cry from the euphoria that once accompanied the web’s promises. The tools that once connected us now alienate, fracture, and dehumanize. To rekindle our relationship with technology, we must get intimate with it, reclaim it—not as a sterile utility but as a space alive with potential. Together, we will breathe life back into the web, stitching it into something more human, more grandiose, and infinitely alive.
This workshop invites you to join in weaving the queer digital village of the future—a collective act of reclaiming and reimagining the internet. Through collaboration, we’ll explore how connected creations can form a web that is deeply personal, weird, and unapologetically queer. Think of it as the most fun hackathon you’ve ever joined, where art, code, and community collide to build a vibrant tapestry of the digital world we want to see.
We’ll begin by showcasing examples of strange and beautiful online works to inspire you. Then, the real fun begins: we’ll dive into collaborative creation, building experimental, queer, and imaginative websites together. Finally, we’ll share our creations in a gallery-like format, linking them into a collective digital fabric—a vibrant, living web of connections that celebrates what technology can still be.
