Renowned guitarist Mike Munson, from Winona, MN is known for his distinctive sound of blending indie folk, roots, jazz, and improvisation. A longtime solo musician, he’s built a strong fan base and reputation in Minnesota’s music scene. Munson is joined by washboard extraordinaire Mikkel Beckmen to form a high energy roots duo. Sleeping Jesus is a Minnesota rock and roll band that blends indie rock with Americana influences, drawing equally from modern sounds and classic records. ABOUT FORWARD PARK CONCERTS
These free, Wednesday evening concerts highlight local bands and regional headliners. Concerts are held in six different walkable, pet-friendly, and bike trail connected parks - one in each city ward. The music starts at 5:30 PM and wraps up at 7:45 PM. Every FORWARD concert includes the Rochester Public Library's Bookmobile, the Parks & Recreation Mobile Rec Trailer, and the Art Stop, a free creative activity led by local artists. Everyone is welcome! No registration is required.
CART captioning is available at every FORWARD concert, providing real-time captions viewable from your smartphone or tablet via QR codes in the park.
