SnõõperGleefully unhinged egg punks Snõõper have made waves since forming in 2020, touring the world, collaborating with Prison Affair on an instant-classic split, and dropping two bouncy full-lengths, Super Snõõper (2023) and Worldwide (2025). Their live show (captured on the ‘24 release Snooper LIVE At Exit-In) is a scuzzy party of bug puppets, slam dancing, and ear-worm riffs delivered at lightning speed.
Sweeping Promises
You won’t believe the post-punk racket two humanoids can conjure up when you behold Sweeping Promises. The band’s artsy take on indie rock has been heard on two releases through Sub Pop Records that emphasize simple, imprecise, organic recording techniques. After missing last year, Sled Island couldn’t be more pleased to bring them back.
SAMWOY
To a growing group of those in the know, the name SAMWOY evokes epic and exhilarating music that bends genres and smashes through the largely humdrum Canadian music landscape. Sam Woywitka is the mastermind behind the project, which has grown to encompass a collective of some of Montreal’s most dynamic musicians.
Still Depths
An eclectic noise rock trio blending raucous, genre-bending instrumentals with sardonic-meets-sensitive lyricism, these Calgary expats channel chaos into technicolor abrasion. Fresh off their unruly new release Like Hell!, Still Depths has taken their explosive live shows across North America, supporting acts like Preoccupations and Guerilla Toss, while pushing their work into freer territory.
Minot
Overgrown teenaged garage punk muffins Minot bring their sonic take on the raw, the cheap and the lo-fi. The Missoula three-piece embodies the primitive and simple roots through the vehicle of budget rock-sprinkled punk, ‘60s garage, and pop influences. Check out their latest release Walls//People Pleaser for a two-song taster of what we’re in for.
Dial Up
Think of an improvised circus of noise rock conducted by art-school dropout punks possessed by the spirit of James Chance, and you’re in the ballpark of getting Dial Up’s funky, no-wave sound. It’s not a bad way to describe their riotous live show, either. Check their latest release Ball Pit for a taste of the whimsical egg-punk noise.
Bugswallow
A tinge of country with a punk exoskeleton, buzzing supergroup bugswallow comes fully armed with banjos and lap-steel twang. Equal parts prairie mischief and egg-punk chaos, keep an eye out for their upcoming EP through DIY label Knuckles On Stun, coming out this spring.
