MANCHESTER, NH – On Thursday, June 18, 2026, Slam Free Or Die - Poetry Open Mic & Slam continues its popular open mic poetry series at Stark Brewing Company. This week, we will start with the weekly open mic at 8pm and follow it with a feature!! There is a $5 cover and this is an all-ages show. About the Feature:
Brenden, also known as Balanc3, is an International Poet, Multi-lingual Educator, and Fire Fighter in Bridgeport, CT.
Balanc3 has curated poetry events, facilitated creative writing workshops in English & Spanish, and has featured and performed in multiple cities across the world. As a multi-lingual educator, Brenden has taught English as a second language & English Literature in several continents tailoring his work to demonstrate the importance of self expression & the power of poetry as a universal language. As a full time Father & Fire Fighter, Brenden spends his time growing as a parent, serving his community, & creating experiences that encourage others to become the authors of their own destiny.
We may have other special guests on this night in celebration of Juneteenth, a federal holiday that commemorates the emancipation of certain slave populations in the United States.
Accessibility Information:
The entrance to our show is at the back of the building with no stairs to enter the space. There is a ramp through the main bar for access to the ADA compliant bathrooms. For any other accessibility questions message our page or ask a staff member at the show.
About Slam Free Or Die - Poetry Open Mic & Slam:
Slam Free Or Die @ Stark Brewing Company is a series of open mic nights for poets and spoken-word artists every Thursday night in Manchester, NH. There is an open mic every night and poetry slams are also held several times a month. Doors open and sign-ups begin at 7pm with open mic beginning at 8pm. Featured poets and slams follows the open mic. Come and enjoy the delicious food and beverages at Stark Brewing Company! There is a $5 cover charge. There is plenty of free parking at the rear of the building (facing the river) and you can feel free to use the entrance on that side.
