Join the South Lake Artists Co-op for an intimate evening dedicated to the timeless practice of figure drawing. This thoughtfully curated session invites artists of all levels to refine their observational skills and deepen their understanding of the human form in a relaxed yet focused environment.
Working from a live draped model, we will explore a range of short gestures and extended poses, allowing for expressive experimentation as well as anatomical study. Please bring your preferred drawing materials; easels, artboards, and limited seating will be available on a first-come basis.β
We will have a limited amount of art supplies and packets for sale at the gallery. Charcoal drawing packets will be available for $35-$40 each. Cash purchases only.
Registration is required to attend.
Whether you are seeking quiet concentration, constructive camaraderie, or a return to classical fundamentals, this gathering offers space to reconnect with your artistic process and engage with a community of like-minded creatives.
$25 per person.
Light refreshments/charcuterie will be served.
Please bring a snack/dinner to share if you wish.
Doors open at 6:00 PM; drawing begins promptly at 6:30.β
Whispers allowed, no loud conversations please. Headphones allowed.
We take a short break in the middle of the evening to stretch, use the restroom, smoke a cig, refill your snack plate, talk, etc. You do you. Then we get back to it.
We finish up by 9:00PM and allow time for any cleanup of food, drink, or art messes.
