For Immediate Release: April 11, 2026Monroe, Snohomish, and Sultan School Districts Consortium, Indian Education Program to Host Pow Wow
Monroe, WA – The families of the Monroe, Snohomish and Sultan School Districts Consortium, Skykomish Valley Indian Education program are holding their 22nd Annual Traditional Pow Wow. The event will be held on Saturday, May 23, 2026, at Monroe High School Commons, 17001 Tester Road, Monroe, WA 98272 from 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Everyone is welcome, and there is no admission charge.
There will be a Plains-style Pow Wow Grand Entry at 1:00 PM and again at 6:00 PM. A free dinner will be served from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM with pow wow soup and frybread. Snacks will be available during the rest of the event. Cultural arts vendors, information tables for health and education, and a raffle will be part of the event. The Closing Ceremony will take place at 9:00 PM.
Proceeds will benefit the nonprofit Skykomish Valley Indian Education Parent Organization Merit Award Fund and provide funding for future cultural events.
Skykomish Valley Indian Education is a grant-funded program serving Native American/Alaska Native students, preschool through high school, in the Monroe, Snohomish, and Sultan school districts.
