About this Event
Read & Relax — An Analog Afternoon by the Charles
We're a little overstimulated. Screens, notifications, group chats, endless scrolls — sometimes you just need to sit somewhere beautiful and read a book. So that's exactly what we're doing.
Read & Relax is a low-key outdoor gathering on the Charles River Esplanade. Bring whatever you're reading — fiction, essays, poetry, a magazine — and join us for an hour of quiet, shared reading by the water. Then we'll put the books down, have a snack, and actually talk to each other.
No agenda. No icebreaker games. Just good company, fresh air, and the simple pleasure of being present.

☕ BYO coffee or tea — light snacks will be on hand
📖 BYO book — any genre, any format, any language
The format is simple: we settle in, read together in comfortable silence for about 45–60 minutes, and then gather to chat — about what we're reading, what's on our minds, or whatever comes up. A chance to slow down, connect with curious people, and remember that analogue life still hits different.
This is a free event, open to anyone looking for a little quiet and good conversation. Capacity is intentionally small — intimate, not a festival. Grab a spot early.
Organized by Sky Campus Happiness — building community one small, meaningful moment at a time.
