About this Event
Cat Burglar is a specialty-themed Siren event built around skill, discretion, and consented misdirection. The fantasy is not conquest—it’s craft.
Participants (“Sirens”) enter as independent operators. Alliances may form organically, but no one is assigned a team. The night rewards intuition, restraint, and timing over force or spectacle.
The club is designed specifically for events like this:
- Layered rooms with multiple sightlines
- Soft lighting that rewards stillness
- Sound zones that mask movement without disorienting
- Staff trained to observe consent signals, not behavior
No cameras in play spaces.
No phones beyond the threshold.
No public scoreboard.
The environment makes overcontrol look clumsy.
Dress Code (Symbolic, Not Prescriptive)
Cat Burglar Aesthetic:
- Sleek, minimal, practical elegance
- Masks encouraged but not required
- No uniforms—individuality matters
The goal is readability to allies, opacity to everyone else.
The Prize (Abstracted)
The “prize” is not a person and not sexual access.
It is an artifact—symbolic, inert, and movable only by consent.
Examples (in-universe):
- A sealed token
- A marked band
- A coded card
The prize:
- Can be transferred voluntarily
- Can be protected collectively
- Cannot be taken by force
How Play Works
Entry Phase
Sirens arrive individually across a wide window. No announcements. No roll call.
They are briefed with a single rule:
“If it isn’t given, it isn’t yours.”
Solos Mode (Default)
Each Siren operates independently:
- Reading rooms
- Testing boundaries
- Gathering information through conversation, silence, or timing
Success depends on:
- Knowing when not to move
- Recognizing when attention is bait
- Understanding that restraint is power
Alliances (Optional, Temporary)
Alliances may form:
- Without ceremony
- Without obligation
- Without permanence
Common patterns:
- Two Sirens trade cover for information
- A trio rotates distraction duties
- Short-term pacts dissolve cleanly
Breaking an alliance without drama is considered high skill.
Honor Among Thieves (The Ethos)
The culture enforces its own code:
- No coercion
- No humiliation
- No exposure
- No retaliation
Violating honor doesn’t get you punished—it gets you ignored.
In this space, irrelevance is the only failure.
