Skills in Common: Women Building Across Generations
Date: Thursday March 26th 10am-12:00pm
Location: Hub350- RBCx Room
Format: Interactive panel
Audience: Secondary, post-secondary, early-career talent + industry partners
In partnership with Kanata North Business Association, Skills Council of Canada is proud to host a powerful half-day panel experience on March 26 at Hub350.
Skills in Common: Women Building Across Generations brings together secondary and post-secondary students, early-career professionals, and industry leaders for an honest, student-moderated conversation about navigating pathways in STEM and skilled trades.
Women continue to face systemic, cultural, and perceptual barriers long before hiring ever begins. This event moves upstream - creating early exposure to real career journeys, real challenges, and real growth. Through authentic dialogue, we’ll explore how skills develop over time, how intergenerational collaboration strengthens teams and innovation, and how belonging is built through visibility and shared experience.
This is not a traditional career talk. It is a signal-building experience designed to build confidence, strengthen alignment across education and industry, and reinforce Kanata North as a place where talent is grown - not just hired.
