Sketching plants or fungi directly from nature deepens observations and awareness of our subjects, ourselves and of our relationships with nature. With guidance from natural science illustrator and artist Vera Ming Wong, explore techniques for capturing gesture, shapes and forms of native plants in a restored prairie, while gaining insight into the characters and ecological niches of various species. Materials provided, but you’re welcome to bring your own favorites.All Franconia workshops are ticketed on a sliding scale in order to provide accessible arts programming to our community.
