Sketch the McNay takes place on the first Wednesday of every month. Guided by an educator, participants engage in a brief conversation about the selected artwork, followed by short drawing exercises. The session ends with a long, observational drawing of the artwork.Drawing pencils, paper, sharpeners, erasers, and clipboards provided. Guests are welcome to bring materials; only graphite can be used in the galleries.
The featured artwork is "Monument to the Last Horse" by Claes Oldenburg.
