About this Event
Designed by East London Sport, the Sports In Your Futures (SIYF) Winter Festival celebrates movement, teamwork, and confidence in a festive, inclusive environment. Aimed at children aged 7–11, this event gives pupils the opportunity to experience a wide range of sports and physical activities led by expert coaches and partners.
This year, we’re excited to introduce a new partnership with the London Marathon Foundation, bringing the Daily Mile into the rotation. The Daily Mile encourages every child to move more, have fun, and feel energised — a perfect fit for our mission to inspire lifelong participation in sport and physical activity.
Schools will rotate through multiple activity stations, ensuring every child takes part, learns new skills, and enjoys an engaging, active day.
Sports & activities include:
- Basketball
- Sitting Volleyball
- Skipping
- The Daily Mile with London Marathon Foundation
- Boxing and/or Boxing VR Experience
- Potential addition: Taekwondo
What to expect:
- A fun, festive environment celebrating active participation
- Expert-led coaching and inclusive sessions for all abilities
- Activities focused on teamwork, confidence, and enjoyment
- A supportive and encouraging atmosphere throughout
- Opportunities for pupils to explore new sports and skills
