Summers In Time Dance Ltd are proud to present our in-house Latin and Ballroom Competition Day AND IDTA Presentation!COMPETITION SECTION:
The venue will be Arnold Liberal Club, 1 West Street, Arnold, NG5 7DB. Doors will open at 9:30am with the first round of dances taking place at 10am. The comp will end at 12:30pm.
Dances will be judged by independent adjudicators and there will be trophies, medals and sashes up for grabs for the winners!
Dance Styles will be as follows:
SOLO EVENTS:
WALTZ
QUICKSTEP
TANGO OR VIENNESE WALTZ
CHA CHA
SAMBA OR RUMBA
JIVE
TEACHER/STUDENT EVENTS (Can be partnered by a teacher or an amateur)
WALTZ & CHA CHA
COUPLES EVENT:
CHA CHA
PARENT & CHILD FUN CHA CHA
- No costume restrictions
- All movements at teachers discretion
- No liability accepted
- Tickets available directly from your teacher only, £8.50pp competitors and spectators.
IDTA PRESENTATION SECTION:
Medal and certificate presentation for those who took their IDTA dance exams in April 2024. 12:30pm to 2:00pm.
Free entry to all students who took their exams, £6pp for family and friends and Under 3's free entry. All places must be pre-booked with Sarah.
There will be fun competitions to win more awards on the day and much more!
Once again, we will be awarding the Roy & Mary Knight Dance Awards for dance exam excellence as part of our Presentation Day.
These will be awarded to the pupils from this exam for the highest marks/comments in each of the 4 sections below & in 2 categories:
CATEGORY 1 Freestyle & Grades
* Bronze
* Silver & Gold
* GB1-GB3
* Stars & above
CATEGORY 2 Ballroom & Latin
* Bronze
* Silver & Gold
* GB1-GB3
* Stars & above
These 8 special awards will be awarded at our presentation day. Please let Sarah know if you are unable to attend this event as to be eligible for these awards, you must be present on the day!
**DISCOUNT!!!** Anyone attending both events who did not take an exam, can attend for £13.
