About this Event
My God: an interfaith poetry workshopInviting people of all faiths and of none to be inspired by faith based poetry and ancient religious texts, the workshop will provide space to respond to the written works and our own beliefs in a safe space. There will be an opportunity to share our work within the small group for those who may wish to but there is no expectancy to do so. The interactive workshop is designed primarily for those new to writing poetry or who consider themselves a beginner, but writers at all stages of their journey are welcome.
Please arrive 15minutes before the workshop and ensure you have also booked to the festival.

Laura Baldwin Bio
Laura is a writer and spoken word performance artist from Bradford, UK. Within her work she speaks of topical issues, faith and spirituality, parenting, and living in an inaccessible world as a disabled woman. She has been published and featured in print and online both locally and further afield for several years. Her debut poetry collection 'It's Just Me' was published in December 2023 and features a selection of poems from over ten years of writing. When she is not delivering poetry workshops, writing, or reading at events Laura is busy being a wife, mother to three grown children and an owner of two toy poodles as well as studying church leadership.
