Sisters Strong North Metro invites breast cancer survivors and their family to a local Walk for the Cure event on Saturday, May 9, 10am at Lions Coon Creek Park south parking lot in Coon Rapids (Hanson Blvd just north of Hwy 10),We started the local walk after COVID for our members who were looking for an alternative to the huge 3-mile Walk for the Cure in Eagan.
This is a 2-mile route along Coon Creek in a serene setting. Everyone walks at their own pace and rests or turns around when necessary.
We will have snacks (muffins, fruit, chips, etc.) when we finish. Join us on this nature walk for exercise, personal conversations and emotional support as we celebrate of our survivorship.
We encourage walkers to donate to breast cancer charities, but it is not required.
