About this Event
Join We Are ILL for an engaging and informative discussion about what multiple sclerosis is and how it affects the Black community.
Black membership-based organizations like Black Greek Letter Sororities, Links, and Jack & Jill are crucial for preserving African American culture, providing community support, and fostering professional development. These organizations were created during times of segregation and discrimination to provide support networks, advocacy, and opportunities for African Americans.
“Sisterly Submitted” is a program series where healthcare professionals will explain what multiple sclerosis is, its symptoms and signs to look for, and how African Americans are being diagnosed with MS at the same rate as their white counterparts. We’ll have a an MS patient share their journey to diagnosis and their experience living with MS.
