Moontee Sinquah is Hopi/Tewa/Choctaw from the Village of Shungopavi located in Northern Arizona. Moontee is a two-time nominee of the Native American Music Awards. In addition, Moontee is a three time, ‘World Hoop Dance Champion’. A title he holds humbly and with it educates and entertains as much as possible. Moontee has performed throughout Europe (Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Croatia, Slovenia, Italy, and Denmark – Roskilde Festival); Malaysia; all across Canada (from the Vancouver Folk Festival to the Sky Dome in Toronto); and the United States (1998 Olympics, Atlanta & 2002 Winter Olympics, Salt Lake City, Utah.

Moontee Sinquah’s clans being passed down from one’s mother in the Hopi way, he is of the Water Clan. Moontee grew up on the Hopi reservation. He will tell you music is the medicine that allowed him to make a life and that helped him endure and also educate, and entertain people all over the world.
