Met Wageningers van alle leeftijden en alle culturen en overtuigingen lopen we van de Grote (oorspronkelijk Sint-Jans) kerk op de Markt naar de ruine van de oude Sint-Janskerk op de Westberg. Onderweg wordt gestopt bij statieplekken voor korte optredens. Op de Westberg staan de lange tafels klaar voor een potluck-picknick. De Wageningse Sint-Janstocht is een hedendaagse interpretatie van de Sint-Jansprocessie die in de Middeleeuwen in Wageningen gebruikelijk was.

With Wageningers from all ages, cultures and convictions we walk from the big (originally Saint Jan's) church at the market plaza to the ruins of the old Saint Jan's church on the Westberg. On the rout there are small cultural acts. On the Westberg are large tables for a shared podluck meal. The Sintjanstocht is a current-day interpretation of an old pelgrimage from the middle ages in Wageningen.
