After her husband is brutally attacked by a zombified neighbor, Ana (Sarah Polley) escapes, only to discover her entire Milwaukee neighborhood has fallen to the undead. Teaming up with a cautious police officer (Ving Rhames) and a small group of survivors, they take refuge in a local shopping mall. But as tensions rise and the dead gather outside, survival becomes a fight they may not win.
