Ditch the apps and find your match through a combination of IRL interactions and a dash of scientific algorithms.
MatchezLA has partnered with MatchBox, one of the hottest NYC dating trends, to use their algorithm that has successfully paired over 750,000 people based on shared values.
Unlike our speed dating events, our Singles Mixers allow you to take the initiative and speak to the singles of your choosing. To help you along however, after you checkin you'll be given a link to complete a quick survey (25 multiple choice questions to guage your personality), so make sure you come with a charged phone. At designated times throughout the night you'll get a text that will reveal your top 3 matches at the event so you can get to know them better. You are welcome to go beyond your 3 matches throughout the night and get to know more guests as well.
The event is broken down by age groups so be mindful of the correct times. If you want to participate in both events you would have to purchase two separate tickets.
40 - 60 year olds:
6:30pm - 6:45pm: Check-In (You MUST check in and complete your survey no later than 6:50 to be paired through the MatchBox algorithm). After checking in you can get a drink and begin mingling with all guests until your first match is revealed.
7:00pm: Your 1st Match of the night is revealed
7:15pm: Your 2nd Match of the night is revealed
7:30pm: Your 3rd Match of the night is revealed
7:45pm+: Enjoy the rest of the night mingling with any and all of the singles at the event.
25-40 year olds:
8:00pm - 8:15pm: Check-In (You MUST check in and complete your survey no later than 8:20 to be paired through the MatchBox algorithm). After checking in you can get a drink and begin mingling with all guests until your first match is revealed.
8:30pm: Your 1st Match of the night is revealed
8:45pm: Your 2nd Match of the night is revealed
9:00pm: Your 3rd Match of the night is revealed
9:15pm+: Enjoy the rest of the night mingling with any and all of the singles at the event.
**While we do attempt to keep our events as close to a 50/50 ratio of male to female that is not always possible and so there is a chance one or more of your matches may be a person of the same gender (a platonic match) or in rare cases for one unlucky person if we have an odd number no match at all. This is unfortuantely unavoidable sometimes but that is why our events are 90 minutes so you have plenty of time throughout the event to get to know everyone.
