WE ARE COMING BACK TO EDMONTON.
Long story short - Mike - our Toronto Host is originally from Alberta and makes his way home every couple of months. And he said "Hey, Let's do an Edmonton event." After our 3 successful 'Singles in the Park' events last summer in Toronto - WE DECIDED TO BRING THIS GREAT FORMAT TO EDMONTON.
BUNCH OF SNACKS AND PRIZES AS WELL.

MEET UP POINT WILL BE PASSED ON ONCE YOU REGISTER.
LADIES WILL BRING A BLANKET, SLEEPING BAG, LARGE TOWEL(S) for 2, TABLE CLOTH, etc. of their choosing as for the Speed Dating portion they will have their own set up - so feel free to get comfy. Also if sunny out might want to bring sunscreen, umbrella, hat, etc. Bug spray?
GUYS feel free to bring anything to add to this as well. And any unique snacks - one guy even baked cookies last time.

If there are issues with weather the rain date will be either Sunday the 31st (same time and location).
Casual yet confident clothing is ideal as will be doing a bunch of sitting / laying on the blankets, etc.
Will be having other activities and games and chances to mingle while standing up as well. :)

Mike (our Toronto Host / Hosting guru), will be your awesome hosts for this fun event! Both are great Christian folks who have a passion for helping others. Happy, positive, kind people who will also play wing man for you.
2 different age groups ... Limited spots for men and for women for both age groups. You will meet everyone there. The main speed dates will be within your age range but will mostly likely have time to do some cross over speed dates as well. Unless it makes sense with where the average age is to have everyone meet everyone, etc.
WE NEED TO MEET A CERTAIN NUMBER OF TICKETS BEFORE MAY 15th to make sure we are running things.

PRICE?
For your ticket price you will get a chance to meet and mingle with upwards of 60+ fellow Christians, a chance to win various awesome prizes, supporting us in being able to continue to do these events, have a few snacks / water, and to maybe even meet the one.
We have had a number of relationships, engagments and a couple weddings via events and matchmaking over the last couple of years ...

(also had 3 other engagements in the last 6 months and another wedding this past summer - where they met at her first ever event and were married 5 months later).
Prior to the pandemic - at our speed dating event - with only 15 men and 15 women - one couple actually got married ;) - because they met at our event and quickly fell in love thereafter.

The price of an average date is $100, so this is quite the deal, seeing as it costs us money to rent the spaces, provide things like snacks / punch, or free drink dependin on venue, prizes (various), our invested time, not mention where else can you meet so many singles at one time - takes a lot to orgnaize this and set it up, etc.
WHO IS THIS FOR?
This is a mini mixer event / speed dating event for single Christians.
Our very first outdoor event. Which is very exciting.
Two age groups this time (10 spots for women and 10 spots for men in each category - if we have a big response we will expand this.) ...
(23-34 and 35-46 - this extends to 50 for men's tickets*).
Where there can be some exceptions to this age range as well - please reach out.
Based on the main ages responding I will adjust things accordingly and will update everyone. The majority of our time will involve a speed dating element where you will have mini one on one dates for a set amount of time based on numbers to get to know the other single Christians present, along with some other fun mini mixer elements / games to get everyone interacting on a different level too.
Including interactive games to win things like Gift Certificates, etc.
You are a guy looking to meet a nice girl and vice versa.

We can't promise you will meet "the one", but perhaps you will meet someone who will introduce you to the one - maybe their friend, cousin, co-worker, etc.
We know the idea of meeting strangers is a bit awkward and intimidating but it's a great way to meet like minded members of the opposite sex.
And you never know where chatting will lead from a networking, business / job, etc. opportunity may lead too.

Plus, hanging out with, having fun with, and trying to date other people who love Jesus is a good thing.

WHAT WILL HAPPEN AT THE EVENT?
The OFFICIAL MEET UP LOCATION will be passed on once you purchase your ticket.
The offical event will run from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm.
You will be greeted by your Host Mike, where he will check off that you have arrived and will be a chance to start mingling, etc.
Once a majority of people have arrived our host will explain how the event will run.
Including a bunch of opening fun games to get everyone moving and meeting as many people as possible.
Leading into the Speed Dating Portion of the evening.
Which is where the blankets etc. come into play as instead of chairs / tables set up this will be a chance for the ladies to have their own spot. And men to move from blanket to blanket meeting the ladies during the speed dates.
From here Mike will be mingling with the crowd and making sure everyone is having a good time. You will have a chance to meet all kinds of new people, chat, flirt, connect with some new single Christian friends, play some fun games, maybe even win a prize, or even meet the one?, etc.
Again part of this might be that that person is not the one but never know who they know / if any other networking that could come out of it, etc.
WHAT TO WEAR?
We want you to wear whatever makes you feel comfortable.
Take into consideration the weather and the fact that will be doing some lounging on blankets. But also a big first impression opportunity too so think style plus comfort.
In short, wear whatever you feel comfortable and confident in.
