About this Event
A new Singing Mamas group is starting in central Brighton! At Afrori Bookshop, Brighthelm Church & Community Centre, Brighton and Hove, Brighton BN1 1YD. These supportive singing sessions are open to all women, not just mums—pregnant women, grandmothers, students, retirees, and single women are all welcome, with or without children.
Part of a national network of singing groups for wellbeing, this new Brighton group will host three taster sessions in September and October, led by Liz Ikamba and Emma Joanne, with plans to start regular classes.
Expect a warm, friendly space where everyone is welcome—no singing experience needed! Group singing boosts mental and physical well-being by lifting moods, building connections, and reducing stress.

All songs are taught by ear—no sheet music or auditions required. The focus is on having fun and connecting, not on perfect singing!
