Join us at Fitzherbert Community Hub and sample some specially selected wines with our host for the evening, Jonathan Ray. Wine writer, author and bon viveur, Johnny will give us a bonfire night like no other, with tales from his travels and tasting experiences.
It's going to be an unforgettable night!

As well as a cracking selection of wines, our friends at The Real Junk Food Project will be preparing a fabulous array of canapes for you to enjoy throughout the evening.
Jonathan Ray is drinks editor of the Spectator and wine columnist of The Field and Spear’s Magazine and contributing editor for Boat International. Prior to this he was drinks editor of GQ and spent many years as wine editor of the Daily Telegraph. He was also the anonymous Bar Spy for Imbibe magazine. He previously spent several years in the wine trade, first with Oddbins and then with Berry Bros & Rudd.
He is the author of several books on wine – translated into over a dozen languages – including Bloodlines & Grapevines, All About Wine, How to Buy Wine, Drink More Fizz! and, most recently, That’s the Spirit!.
Jonathan has a Ph.D. in history from Royal Holloway, University of London, and, as well as his regular drinks columns, he has written on food, travel, books, lifestyle and many other subjects for the Guardian, the New Statesman, the Financial Times, the Daily Mail, the Mail on Sunday, Decanter, Vanity Fair, Heathrow Traveller and BA High Life.
