About the Hosts: Jordan and Milly are musical friends and collaborators who find deep healing, freedom, and joy in communal singing, and want to make that experience more accessible to the world.
About the Circle: This circle is open to all, especially those who want to build more confidence in their voice. We weave together simple, repeatable songs that can be taught by ear, call-and-response exercises, and accessible improv activities, and strive to create tiers of participation where singers of all comfort levels can feel welcomed and challenged. We sometimes incorporate light breathwork, meditation, and movement exercises to encourage deeper embodiment.
Location: Hope Central Church is a 4 minute walk from the Green Street stop on the orange line, and has its own free parking lot across the street. We will be in the Sanctuary - come in the front door closest to the street. We are not affiliated with Hope Central but are grateful to use their space.
Bring: a water bottle, and snacks to share if you'd like.
RSVP: We encourage RSVPs through EventBrite to help us plan, but walk-ins are welcome too.
Cost: We ask for an optional, $5-20 donation to help cover rental fees and other administrative costs for our circles. If you aren't able to contribute at this time, please still come! You can pay through eventbrite, pay cash at the door, or venmo @jordanmudd.
Documentation: This circle will be audio recorded. This is for the facilitators to be able to listen back to and learn from, and will not be shared publicly. We may take a few candid photos and short video clips for promotional purposes during the circle. If you don't wish to be captured please let us know!
