A 3-hour, hands-on workshop to learn the basics of singing bowls and tuning forks, sound healing theory, and how to play with intuition.
About this Event

✨ About this workshop

Curious about sound healing but not sure where to start?
This 3-hour Singing Bowls & Tuning Forks workshop is designed for you if you’d love to understand:

  • How sound and frequency affect the body and nervous system
  • Why singing bowls and tuning forks are used as healing tools
  • How to actually hold, strike, and play them with confidence and intuition

Whether you’re just stepping into the world of sound healing, you already attend sound baths and want to learn more, or you’re thinking of gifting this experience to someone you love, this workshop will give you a grounded, inspiring introduction.

We’ll weave together science, theory, and hands-on practice so you don’t just learn about sound healing — you’ll feel it, play it, and embody it.

🌈 What you’ll learn

By the end of the workshop, you will:

  • Understand the basics of sound and frequency and how they interact with the brain and body
  • Learn the anatomy of singing bowls (types, materials, mallets, and sounds)
  • Learn the anatomy of tuning forks (weighted vs. unweighted, how and where to use them)
  • Explore how sound healing connects with nervous system regulation, relaxation, and stress release
  • Practice safe and respectful use of sound healing tools (for yourself and others)
  • Experience simple protocols you can use at home for self-care
  • Learn how to bring in your intuition instead of feeling like you’re “doing it wrong”

You’ll walk away with a clearer understanding of why these tools are powerful and how to start using them in a grounded, practical way.

🧪 Science + Spirit: What we’ll cover

In our theory & science portion, we’ll explore:

  • Basic concepts: frequency, vibration, resonance, entrainment
  • How sound interacts with brainwaves and relaxation states
  • Why certain sounds help the body move into rest-and-digest
  • How singing bowls & tuning forks are used in therapeutic and wellness settings

In our practical & intuitive portion, we’ll explore:

  • How to hold and play singing bowls for clear, stable tones
  • Different ways of striking and circling the bowl
  • How to activate and place tuning forks on and around the body
  • Simple mini-routines for:
    • Grounding and centering
    • Clearing and balancing your own energy
    • Supporting someone else in a gentle, safe way

👐 Hands-on Experience

This is not a sit-and-listen lecture.
You will practice. A lot.

  • Guided practice with singing bowls
  • Guided practice with tuning forks
  • Time to experiment, ask questions, and get feedback
  • Short partner or small-group exercises (only if people are comfortable)

You’ll leave feeling less intimidated by the instruments and more excited to keep exploring.

🧘‍♀️ Who this is for

This workshop is ideal if:

  • You’re new to sound healing and want a clear, grounded introduction
  • You already love sound baths and want to learn how they work “behind the scenes”
  • You’re a yoga teacher, therapist, healer, or space-holder wanting to integrate sound tools
  • You’re simply curious and want to explore a new way to relax, reset, and connect with yourself

No musical background is required. Just bring your curiosity.

🧺 What to bring
  • Comfortable clothing
  • A water bottle
  • A notebook & pen (for taking notes if you like)
  • Optional: your own singing bowl or tuning forks
  • Optional: cushion, blanket, or eye pillow for extra comfort during the sound journey

👤 About your facilitator

Hugo is a sound healer, musician, and guide who works with singing bowls, tuning forks, handpan, guitar, drums, and more to create immersive sound journeys.
He has years of experience leading sound baths, ceremonial experiences, and workshops, helping people reconnect with their bodies, emotions, and inner worlds through sound.

In this workshop, Hugo’s intention is to give you enough theory to feel grounded and enough practice to feel confident, so you can continue your sound healing journey long after the workshop ends.
