About this Event
Adventurer and filmmaker Alex Bescoby has just completed an epic and life defining ‘mother of all road trips’, driving an original 1955 Land Rover from Singapore to London. He’ll recount his extraordinary journey across 13,000 miles and 23 countries, a recreation of the Oxford and Cambridge Far Eastern Expedition originally made in the 1950s.
With deep connections to Britain, the journey was a truly remarkable undertaking that ties in two adventures more than half a century apart. Through the experiences of these two very different generations of adventurers, and the incredible people they meet along the way, The Last Overland uncovers how much the world has changed, but also what unites us and remains universal.
You’ll also be able to follow Alex’s adventure in a four-part documentary series on All 4 this autumn and in his new book.
Alex will be in conversation with Jeremy Walker, Head Master of St Peter’s School.
