The iconic Singapore River Festival (SRF) returns from 12 to 21 September 2025 bringing fresh energy and one-of-a-kind experiences with its first-ever Design Edition. Presented by Singapore River One (SRO) in collaboration with the DesignSingapore Council and spotlighted as a key event of Singapore Design Week (SDW), this special edition transforms the historic Singapore River into a living dreamscape of light creativity and community.
Anchored in storytelling design and connection, this year’s festival will be a celebration of the Singapore River’s rich legacy and evolving identity. With Instagram-worthy bridge light-ups breathtaking projection mapping shows and one-of-a-kind experiences created in collaboration with homegrown designers, SRF 2025 is not to be missed!
Highlights include:
- Boat Quay: Be swept away by River of Dreams - an immersive theatrical journey along Singapore River where young Wei Ming is guided by the ancient river spirit through a magical realm of collective hopes and dreams. Experience stunning projection mapping and music that transforms the riverbank into a living canvas celebrating the magical power of community dreams and boundless possibility.
- Symphony of Lights: Three historic bridges arching over the Singapore River come to life with stories told through light. Each bridge — Cavenagh, Read, and Robertson — will transform into a luminous canvas paying tribute to the river’s legacy while symbolising connection: to our roots to one another and to our future. Symphony of Lights invites festivalgoers to walk beneath a glowing tapestry of colour and history where every step resonates with the energy of the past and the promise of what’s to come. Festivalgoers can also log on to the Cinewav app to listen to a curated music playlist at these bridges.
- Clarke Quay: Celebrate with furkids at SingaPaw Dream featuring pet cruises obstacle challenges and a bustling pet market. Join the My Melody & Kuromi Kawaii Walk - a 2.5km & 4km community walk commemorating the beloved Sanrio characters. Expect vibrant pop-ups themed experiences and joy-filled moments for all ages.
- Robertson Quay: Experience the Dreamriver Market curated by Sunday Social Market spotlighting local artisans and sustainable living. Relax at Starlight Cinema by the River an outdoor movie screening of Elemental powered by the Cinewav app for a noise-free immersive experience.
