Singing Resistance is building a powerful, loving, nonviolent movement to strengthen and protect our communities in the face of rising authoritarianism. This movement emerged from the context of the federal occupation of Minneapolis in December 2025/Winter 2026. Green Bay is joining that movement by participating in Singing Resistance's nationwide Weekend of Action.We are neighbors, learning together how to strengthen the bonds of community and defend democracy. We invite you to gather in that spirit -- to learn the songs, experience the power of voices uniting, and explore how you can get involved in the movement.
What Is Singing Resistance?
Singing Resistance is a decentralized, radically welcoming movement grounded in love, nonviolence, and solidarity. We sing because song is an antidote to fear. Song connects us to one another. Song helps us name what we hold sacred—and protect it.
No musical experience is required. Songs are simple, taught by ear, and rooted in modern protest and community-singing traditions. If you are aligned with building a loving, nonviolent, multiracial democracy—and believe song can help us get there—you belong here.
NOTE: We highly encourage advance registration so we can move to a larger venue if needed to accommodate all who wish to participate. Stay tuned to notices from Indivisible about any venue changes.

EVENT SCHEDULE
Please plan to arrive 10 mins early to get comfortable so we can get the most out of our time together. Song Session One (2-2:45pm) - Learn songs of solidarity, courage, and inclusion
Networking Break (2:45-3:15pm) - Connect with others - Learn tools to gather safely with friends and neighbors in song-based resistance. (If you are comfortable in the Signal app, please add "Signal" as a middle name when you register. We may ask for your input during this section of the event.)
Song Session Two (3:15-4pm) - Go deeper into the same set of songs from Session One. We may add elements as we build familiarity with the songs. You are welcome to join us for whichever Song Session works best with your schedule, or stay for both if you wish.
