Sing-A-Longs and Songwriters Fundraiser Event

WHAT WE'RE FUNDRAISING FOR:
This is a fundraising event where all proceeds go towards the production of an upcoming local play called “DISPATCHES” written by Jenny Simpson. The play will focus on the theme of drug addiction and supporting local communities in need and the funds for this event will go towards consultation with professionals in the helping field. WHAT TO EXPECT AT THIS EVENT:
Our musical entertainment will kick off with Vancouver's local songwriting stars in the music scene performing some tunes, then after that we finish off the evening with a mini Piano Karaoke set starring YOU as our vocalist, accompanied by Eddie Lam on the piano.
WHERE, WHEN, AND HOW MUCH:
It's all happening at Pleasant Mountain Music, one of the coolest music schools in Vancouver (2435A Granville St.) Sunday October 26th.
Doors at 7:30pm, event starts at 8:00pm. $15.00 for admission.
ABOUT OUR MUSICAL PERFORMERS:
PIANO KARAOKE WITH EDDIE LAM ()
Eddie is a long-time Vancouver musician who you may have also seen on TikTok during the 2020 Pandemic. Eddie enjoys live music karaoke to have people be included to bring that rock star experience. Piano Karaoke is the opportunity for you to sing your favourite tunes, piano lounge style, with a diverse catalogue from different artists, genres, and decades.
CRY OF SILENCE ()
Cry of Silence is an all-Asian heavy rock band with influences from Emo, Nu-Metal, and Alternative. Their music has been featured on a few American TV Movies including "Mother of All Lies" (starring Francesca Clinton). They've opened for a couple of big name Asian artists and they also have an acoustic version of one of their tracks featuring Sleeping With Sirens lead singer Kellin Quinn.
ZOE TWIST ()
A very familiar face to many in Vancouver, Canadian artist and Berklee College of Music grad, Zoe is unapologetically pushing boundaries. She combines sounds of indie rock mixed with pop full of catchy hooks while accompanied by beautiful, stunning raw vocals.
ORFAE AND FRIENDS ()
Orfae has one of the most incredible haunting, skillful vocals. Writing songs about life phases, a bit of fantasy, and much more, Orfae will be accompanied by two amazing friends, who happen to be Elyssa the Acoustic Eel on backup vocals and Neil Thompson on Mandolin.
