About the Orchestrating Dreams Sinfonietta

The Orchestrating Dreams Sinfonietta is a community chamber orchestra that combines Orchestrating Dreams’ top students with college students majoring in music and professional musicians. Established in 2023, the Sinfonietta offers a unique mentorship opportunity for advanced music students and early professionals who have been historically underrepresented in the professional field of classical music. As a community chamber orchestra, the mission of the Sinfonietta is to cultivate a music community that provides a pathway from “student” to “professional” in a profession that has so many invisible barriers for black and brown young people.
