The candles are lit, the room hushes, and from the piano comes the opening bars of "Fly Me to the Moon."
For one Sunday evening each month, Speakeasy transforms into a 1960s supper club, and you're invited to step into the most romantic era of American song.
Sinatra & Friends is an intimate live tribute to the timeless voices of Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Jr., Nat King Cole, Tony Bennett and Ella Fitzgerald. Performed by two of Ottawa's most accomplished jazz musicians, Peter Woods on saxophone and Nick Gummeson on piano, the evening unfolds like a love letter to the golden age of jazz, when songs were sophisticated, dinner was a ritual, and the right voice could fill a room.
You'll dine by candlelight on a curated three-course Italian menu inspired by the New York supper clubs Sinatra loved, sip a hand-crafted Sinatra signature cocktail, and watch two musicians bring an entire era back to life from just an arm's length away.
THE EVENING
Doors at 5:30 PM. Music begins at 6:00 PM. The performance runs approximately 90 minutes with one intermission. Seating is intimate and capped at 48 guests. Tables are reserved and seated on a first-booked, best-chosen basis. Full
THE OPTIONAL THREE-COURSE MENU
Add the Sinatra Night dinner at checkout, served by candlelight during the performance. Inspired by Patsy's of New York, the Italian restaurant Sinatra called his second home.
First Course:
choice of one Beef Carpaccio, shaved Parmigiano, lemon, capers, olive oil or Wild Arugula and Parmigiano, citrus, cracked pepper, aged Parmigiano
Main:
choice of one Rigatoni Bolognese, slow-cooked beef ragu, al dente rigatoni, burrata or Fettuccine Alfredo with Roasted Chicken, velvety Alfredo, fresh fettuccine
Dessert:
New York Cheesecake, gooseberry gastrique, toasted pecan, warm salted caramel

OPTIONAL WINE PAIRING
Three sommelier-selected glasses chosen to match the menu and the rhythm of the evening. Available as an add-on if you've selected the dinner.
PREFER TO ORDER TABLESIDE?
The three-course dinner is entirely optional. Our full à la carte tapas menu is available throughout the evening for guests who'd rather order in the moment or share small plates across the table. Choose in advance, decide when you arrive, or mix and match - whatever fits the way you like to dine.
REQUEST A SONG
When you check out, we'll ask if there's a song you'd love to hear or someone you'd like the evening dedicated to. Peter and Nick will weave as many requests as they can into the set. It's our way of making the night yours.

Speakeasy is Ottawa's intimate live music lounge, tucked into the heart of the ByWard Market. Dark wood, soft lighting, world-class musicians, and a kitchen that takes Italian small plates seriously. Reservations always recommended.
A NOTE ON THE SERIES
This is our monthly Sinatra & Friends residency, the first Sunday of every month. Each evening features a new program drawn from the songbook of Sinatra and his contemporaries, so no two nights are the same. We'll announce the next date after June 7 sells out.
