About this Event

HOV x Kirk Diamond and the House of Aryhel are partnering to present a Special edition of SIMMER DOWN SUNDAZE and PON DI CORNA for one last event before summer officially ends. HOV would love to invite you and your family to come enjoy the afternoon with us at Studio Olaf Laneway in Regent Park on September 22nd, 2024, from 3pm - 10pm.

This special edition of Simmer Down Sundaze x Pon Di Corna will honor the legendary Canadian reggae artists and selectors who helped shape the reggae scene in Toronto, Canada. A day full of vibes, music, and history!

There will be a special screening of Sounds & Pressure: Reggae in a Foreign Land. Sounds & Pressure is a docu-series that follows the journeys of Roy & Yvonne, Nana McLean, Johnny Osbourne, Leroy Sibbles, and Jerry Brown’s Summer Records. Through rare archives and infectious beats, this captivating five-part anthology series takes you from Kingston to Kensington Market to see and hear how reggae made roots in Canada against all odds.

A beautiful way to say goodbye to Summer with family and new friends as we soak up the vibes at Simmer Down Sundaze x Pon Di Corna.
