(The PREREQUISITES for this class are Silversmithing Level 1-Butane Torch, Metal Fundamentals - The Jewelers Saw, Silversmithing Level 2 - Jewelry Soldering, Silversmithing 3 Bezel Set Cabochons, & Level 4 - Intermediate Bezel Setting or prior experience)
This 2 part class is for students comfortable with bezel setting and ready to add a new setting variation to their skill set.
Claws are an economical way to conserve silver and set larger or slightly irregular stones. In class we'll work with sterling silver but this technique is very transferable to copper and brass. There will be a variety of cabochons available to work with in class but feel free to bring your own ( any size but flat backs only)
There is a supply kit fee made payable to the teacher day of class by cash or check. Please come prepared to pay this fee.
