Have you ever wanted to make your own silver jewellery from Sea Glass or Sea Pottery? At this workshop you will learn how to saw, solder, file, hammer, hand-stamp and finish your own sterling silver jewellery.
You will also learn how to make your own bezel setting and set pieces of sea glass within a ring, pendant or earrings.
This workshop is suitable for beginners and ideal for those with some experience looking to expand on their knowledge.
The minimum age for this workshop is 14 years, those 16 years and under must be accompanied by a participating adult who also has a place booked.
Cost: £80 – includes tuition, use of tools, tea & coffee, and biscuits.
Materials: The cost of materials is not included in the workshop fees. The approximate cost is £30/£40 and payable to the tutor on the day (cash and card accepted). You are welcome to bring your own Sea Glass but please note, not all pieces will be suitable.
What to bring: lunch, make sure that long hair is tied back and bring your glasses if you wear them.
About Jewellery Moves:
Taught by Fiona Dowling, a graduate of the Royal College of Art, Jewellery Moves workshops aim to teach traditional craftsmanship, jewellery skills and techniques in small groups with a relaxed atmosphere.
NOTE: The Craft Barn is accessed via external stone steps with handrails and may not be suitable for anyone with mobility issues.
