Join us for a full day hand embroidery workshop, inspired by our Spellbound exhibition at The Sill. Textile artist, Louise Goult, will help you create your own unique Goldfinch or Kingfisher using a silk shading technique often referred to as painting with threads. The first part of the workshop will focus on transferring your bird design to your chosen fabric – no drawing skills needed! We’ll then move on to combining different colours of threads together to create a realistic bird that you can turn into a framed piece of artwork, wall hanging or greetings card. This workshop is suitable for people of all levels of embroidery experience, with all materials included.
Over 16’s only please.
Cost: £45 per person.
Timing: 10.15am – 3.45pm
