Silk Painting Workshop
Join us at the Oriental Museum for a creative workshop lead by Gail Bell of Interface Arts.
The workshop will include a short session of guided experimentation in the basic techniques of silk painting: stretching silk fabric, using gutta, painting on silk and using salt.
In this workshop participants will make a small silk painting to their own design or using templates.
Materials
All materials provided. No experience necessary.
Cost
£15 per person. Suitable for over 16s only.
About the Artist
After studying Fine Art at Sunderland University and a career a Art and Design school teacher, Gail now uses a wide range of media, including pastels, watercolours, charcoal, oil paints, collage and photography and takes inspiration from the natural world.
Gail is a member of Interface Arts
Parking and Accessibility
