This April 28, jazz singer and producer Livia Gazzolo brings her Silent Film Series, which originated at the historic Vickers Theatre in Three Oaks, MI, to Chicago’s Society for the Arts, home to the annual Polish Film Festival.
The Silent Film Series begins with Livia performing Brazilian Tropicalia and Polish Folk Music, accompanied by guitarists Reynaldo Certain and Ari Lindo, in front of Aleksander Hertz’s 1917 film Bestia, The Polish Dancer. This event is the second of the Silent Film Series, the first being a live show in October 2023 at the Vickers Theatre to Jean Cocteau’s Blood of a Poet.
