DJ SPORTMODE-- Sat Dec 13, 5:40-7:30pm:
Sport Mode is a shape-shifting DJ from Victoria, BC, known for crafting high-energy, melodic moments on the dance floor. From old-school funk to shimmering disco edits, sentimental deep house to head-spinning tech house, her sets take people on a journey while keeping crowds moving. She has played multiple festivals across the Southern West Coast — including the Dome at Rifflandia in 2024 — and performs regularly in Victoria and Vancouver.
Sport Mode is the electronic moniker of Claire Butterfield, who has been an integral part of Victoria’s music scene for nearly two decades. She was a founding member of the alt-folk trio Fox Glove and has recorded and performed with many BC artists including Sam Weber, Aidan Knight, and Miina (formerly Carmanah). She currently co-directs The Village Choir with Oliver Swain, which has quickly become one of Victoria’s most sought-after choral ensembles. Outside of music, she is the co-founder of ADHD Central, which offers simple, non-digital productivity tools built for neurodivergent brains.
Influenced by the likes of LP Giobbi, Peggy Gou, and Kieran Hebden, Sport Mode’s sets are known for their face-melting drops, heart-warming melodies, and a genre-spanning sense of movement.

Way before cutting with a crossfader and matching beats, Bryan Capistrano (a.k.a. DJ Boitano) started out as a music enthusiast - making tapes of his favourite radio programs and often using the record function on his ghetto blaster to sloppily make his own pretend radio shows. At the age of 15, he discovered the art of DJing and turntablism. This changed his life...
Fast forward to today, he's a former broadcaster & music programmer, writer and the creator and DJ of Canada's first-ever drive time Alt. Rock mix show, The Modern Rock Mixtape. This aired on The Zone @ 91-3 in Victoria, BC.
As a DJ he's played many stages small and large, opening shows for the likes of Bran Van 3000, Carly Rae Jepsen and AWOLNATION. He's also been the house DJ for several Vancouver Island-based music festivals, keeping the stage warm for acts such as The Black Keys, Jane's Addiction, Wu-Tang Clan, Shaggy, Busta Rhymes, Gwen Stefani and many more.
DJ SKYE PHOENIX: Sun. Dec. 28, 6:30-7:30pm
Skye Phoenix. She burned it down, rose from the ashes, and brought the bass. Her love of House music compelled a move from dancefloor to behind the decks to curate her own offerings of funky, tech and bass house sounds. She blends the newest grooves with ass shaking remixes and old school house favorites.

Zola: My favourite genres of music are - throwback dance pop, '80s mixes, 2000's pop punk, Coldplay x 2000's pop rock. I love music because I love dancing. Music makes me feel happy.
Mama: Join me for my Birthday set Dec 28th! I have an eclectic musical palate derived from creative parents. I have attended a few thousand concerts, gigs, performances, and many, many dance clubs. Music brings me joy and sorrow, ecstasy and longing.
