Join us for our monthly Silent Book Club Richmond meetup! Bring your own book, purchase a drink or snack from our hosts, and enjoy an hour of quiet hour of reading in good company.

What is Silent Book Club?

It's a community of readers who gather to read together...silently! There are no assigned books and no required discussions. We're thrilled to build this community in Richmond, CA.

Date: Sunday, March 29th; 12-2pm

Location: The Backyard (205 Cutting Blvd, Richmond, CA)

Support local: Grab a drink or snack to support our hosts at The Backyard! They have delicious burgers (winners of the "Best of East Bay 2025: Best Burger"category) and a variety of non-alcoholic and alcholic beverages. Stay after the meetup to listen to some live music starting at 2pm.

Free Parking: Park in the parking lot or find street parking along S. 3rd St.

Important Things to Note: This venue is entirely outdoors, so please check the weather forecast beforehand and come prepared to sit outside. It's also pet-friendly and family friendly, so you may see some kiddos running around or playing in the play area. The venue plays lively music on their speakers, so I recommend bringing your headphones or earplugs if you prefer a more quiet reading envirornment.
