Reading Session Guidelines:1. Bring a book of your choice.
2. Keep your phones on mute.
3. Two 30-minute blocks of reading time, with a 10-minute break in between for snacks.
4. Book discussions are not required, but a 1-minute take-away sharing per person is welcomed.
The Silent Book Club 6300 is unique as after the two 30-minute sessions, one can share their personal take-away from the book they read.
The sharing session will depend on the number of attendees, if it is possible to do so. However, sharing is not compulsory. One can beg off from it.
There is a limit of one (1) minute for those who would like to share. The time allotted for sharing will also depend on the number of people around, it is best to just listen to what they have to say. An opportunity for follow-up questions on a particular reader can be made outside the two-hour activity.
As a reminder, everyone is advised to bring a jacket. You can bring your own food and drink provisions. We are allowed to eat at the courtyard area of the national museum during the 10-minute break between sessions.
Feel free to bring noise-cancelling ear plugs or headphones to block out road sounds. The event is free and open to the public. We look forward to seeing you! 🤗
