About this Event
You are cordially invited to the Sikh Women’s Aid Conference where we will be publishing our 2024 survey findings and report. As well as looking at Sikh women and girls' experiences of domestic and sexual abuse, this year we are exploring experiences (if any) of Spiritual and Faith-Based Abuse due to the increase in reporting of these issues to our National helpline.
THIS IS AN IN-PERSON EVENT, NOT A ZOOM CONFERENCE.
Sikh Women's Aid is the ONLY national body that exists to provide outreach support to victims of abuse who are from the Sikh and Panjabi Community. We carry out bi-annual research to understand the impact and prevalence of abuse in many forms due to significant data gaps in the lived experiences of Sikh and Panjabi women.
The conference is also taking place to mark both the Janam Divas (birthday) of Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji - the founder of Sikhi and the International Day to End Violence Against Women and Girls.
We have an exciting range of guest speakers and ground-breaking research
Please book early to avoid disappointment
